“You can only work well with bees if you adapt to them and respect the natural order.”
Márk Hizsnyai | Hungary
In the Hungarian municipality of Kozárd, in the province of Nógrád, Márk Hizsnyai is continuing a family tradition. Beekeeping is no ordinary profession for him, but a mission in life that has been practised in his family for five generations. Today, he looks after 780 bee colonies in the family business, which is run by four family members and one permanent employee.
Márk owes almost all of his knowledge to the previous generations of his family. He is particularly proud of the certainty that his work has a positive impact on the environment. His recipe for good honey: A great deal of hard work and the utmost precision.
